Wealth

The thing about wealth is, it always brings money to mind.
But what if wealth isn’t just about assets and currency?
What if it’s more than that.
What if it’s how my time is spent, who I make memories with, what type of food and clothes I have access to.
What if wealth is happiness, freedom.
I can spend my life trying to accumulate as much conventional wealth as possible. I can save up for a house and a car, build a business that increases my net worth.
But it’s important to recognize this is only one definition of wealth.
I can also spend my life working towards a healthy and happy mindset. Learning more about myself and the world. Learning to balance growth with enjoyment, ambition with relaxation.
Maybe for me, wealth is more important in how it feels than in what I have.
I want to feel abundant, happy, free. Doing what I want, making memories with the people I love, living a slow life. That’s wealth.
And maybe the more I think about it, the less I want to spend my life chasing someone else’s definition of wealth. I want to build my own.
