to my Library of activism
Welcome

I pick up these books when I want:
To be equipped with facts to drive social change by learning history told from a new perspective.
Light in Gaza
A view into life in Palestine A heartbreaking but hopeful story recounting life under Israeli control for the Palestinians while also looking to the future of what could be. It tells of the frequent suffering but constant resilience of these people, showing what daily life is like. The future of this region can be bright for all humanity, but only with hope, love, and an importance on liberation for all. We only get told one side of each story in the mainstream media; this book gives you the other, challenging external narratives. 10/10

The Color of Law
Ever wonder how America became so segregated? This book dives into the argument that America's segregation was not accidental (de facto) but rather intentionally created through government policies (de jure). 10/10 If you wonder why African-Americans expect reprimands for something done "a while ago", read this book and find out how our beloved government treats people whom they decide are lesser. Pay attention to the dates too. You'll see it was much more recent than you'd think.
