europe
Portugal:
Porto: One of my favorite towns in Europe. Very affordable, colorful, and walkable with a historic feel. The walks are a bit hilly, but I loved them. I stayed at Cats Hostel 8/10, it wasn't as social as I prefer. Lisbon: A much bigger city with a more touristy feeling. I stayed at Lisbon Destination Hostel 10/10, nice vibes with plants everywhere. I also took surfing lessons here, learning that Portugal is an iconic surf destination.
Spain:

Madrid: A very happening city, I did not get to see much of. I would spend more time here if I returned. A ton of history here, including the first churro shop, "Chocolateria San Ginés". Barcelona: Absolutely iconic. I loved this city. The walking tours of the different barrios were very interesting. My first nude beach experience, as well as a secret dispensary. You can go buy what you want, but they advise you to be discreet. La Sagrada Familia is a must-see, then enjoy some pan con tomate and paella with wine. I stayed at Fabrizzio's Petit Hostel 10/10, the staff, events, and family food nights were all amazing.
Italy:
Naples: Pizza at its finest can be found anywhere here. I ate it daily. I stayed at 6 Small Rooms Hostel. The amenities were severely lacking, but it was extremely affordable in a prime location, 8/10. You need to visit the side street restaurants to try amazing wine and pasta. Rome: I went on a day trip, and it was completely worth it. Beautiful city with a ton of iconic places to see. I enjoyed walking through the city and eating gelato.
France:
Paris: I didn't spend much time here, but my view is similar to most. Just a big city. The best part was eating maracons. The Eiffel Tower was a bit underwhelming. If I go again, 100% I'm watching the cabaret at THE Moulin Rouge. I stayed at MIJE Paris Hostel 9/10, which was significant for the price and location.
The Netherlands:
Amsterdam: A fantasy of a city, not undeservedly. However, I certainly wish to see more of this country on another visit. You can ride a bike like a local, but I preferred doing this outside the city center. I learned my skills were closer to novice with casual cyclists all around. I stayed at Heart of Amsterdam Hostel in the red light district, 10/10. Weed and tourists everywhere with parties all night long.
Denmark:
Copenhagen: A pricey city with a secret community you must see. Christiania is a free town society close to the city that is run with a bit different rules than Copenhagen, go and see for yourself. I stayed in Meininger Urban House Hostel, which was more of a hotel. Not super social, but amazing quality and food. 8/10
Iceland:
Reykjavik: Up-and-coming Nordic city with breathtaking views. Very expensive. I stayed at Dalur HI Hostel, which had an amazing staff that felt like home right when I walked in, 10/10. They have a sister location, which is downtown and more central for a lively vibe and walkable experience. I went in November and chose affordability over convenience.
