South America
Colombia:
Cartagena: A colorful touristy town with amazing arepas. Colombitalia was a nightly occurrence for me, being open all hours. I stayed in the Masaya hostel, and it looked like a hotel but still had the social energy of a hostel. Amazing rooftop, staff, events, and pool. Also, a prime location, right down the street from a ton of food, bars, and the iconic Havana salsa club. 10/10 Medellin: Much less touristy, a city dubbed Colombia's eternal spring because of the beautiful year-round weather. Communa 13 was a must-visit as well as a day trip to Guatape.
