Things I love About Ohio

I‘ve been struggling to be content here, so here are some things I can’t have while traveling and that I’ve been taking for granted recently. They really do deserve my full appreciation and love.
Spending time with my nephew. Now we can have sleepovers, I can pick him up from school and I can pack his lunch in the morning.
Going on walks with my grandpa. I missed our long talks about everything and nothing.
Dairy Queen blizzards. Self explanatory.
Having a kitchen to cook a full meal in. I have spices here, every pan I could need, and an oven with an air-fry setting.
Cuddling with my kitty. All the kitties while traveling are amazing, but no one is my Dickerkin.
Stargazing on my backyard swing. The stars are beautiful in my little small town.
Choosing an outfit from more than a book bag of clothes. I now have access to my full closet.
Meeting all the new babies. My family has a few every year, but now my friends have kids too that I love hanging out with.
Lake Erie. I love just sitting by the water that watched me grow up.
The tree. The tree, brother. It’s incomparable to anywhere else and I have it at my fingertips whenever I’d like.
Getting to share my stories and love of travel with all my family. It’s really cool to share things that felt so normal while traveling and get a surprised or amazed reaction. Or shocked when they find out I was living on the beach.
I can miss one life without overlooking the beauty that’s right in front of me.
