Allows you to go see for yourself. People's advice is directly shaped by their personal experience. See things for yourself, form your own opinion.
Increases confidence in yourself. You can handle much more than you think. Go for it, and trust you will always figure it out.
Gives you friends and connections from around the world. This makes putting yourself in their shoes much easier. Once you form an emotional connection, accepting differences becomes natural.
