Teaches you about other cultures. You can more easily choose your own way of life if you know how many options there are. Expanding world knowledge reduces prejudice and increases communication skills.


Gives you the chance to discover yourself. You can only really see how your environment has shaped you by stepping outside of it.


Shows you life from another's view. This builds empathy. Maybe you wouldn't want a foreigner out of your country if you knew the life they just escaped from.


Increases curiosity. When you have questions, ask them and be open to new answers.


Allows you to go see for yourself. People's advice is directly shaped by their personal experience. See things for yourself, form your own opinion.


Increases confidence in yourself. You can handle much more than you think. Go for it, and trust you will always figure it out.


Gives you friends and connections from around the world. This makes putting yourself in their shoes much easier. Once you form an emotional connection, accepting differences becomes natural.


Allows you to stomp out your fears. You will never regret facing and overcoming your fears. There is a stronger you on the other side.
